Terms of use
Last updated 9 September 2026These terms cover your use of omvion.org. They do not govern any engagement between OMVION and a studio — that is covered by a separate written agreement, and where the two conflict, the agreement wins.
Who you are dealing with
OMVION is a sole proprietorship operated by Axton McGoran in British Columbia, Canada.
What this site is
It is marketing material. Everything on it — prices, bands, supported engines, timelines, the example readiness report — is indicative and may change. Nothing here is an offer capable of acceptance, and nothing here creates a contract. A quotation is only binding when we give it to you in writing for your specific title.
No guarantee of outcome
Whether a particular game converts cleanly to VR depends on how it was built, and we cannot know that before we profile it. Nothing on this site is a promise that any given title will convert, or convert within any stated effort or timeframe. Figures such as the number of camera passes handled or an estimated schedule describe past work, not a commitment about yours.
The readiness report
The readiness report is provided free and without warranty. It is our professional opinion based on the build you send. It is not a guarantee of feasibility, of cost, or of commercial outcome, and you should not rely on it as your only basis for a business decision.
Send us only builds you have the right to send. Do not send anything you are contractually barred from disclosing. We treat submitted builds as confidential and do not redistribute them.
Intellectual property
The text, design, code and images on this site belong to OMVION unless marked otherwise. REFRACT is licensed separately under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0, and that licence — not this page — governs what you may do with it. REFRACT is source-available, not open source: it is free for non-commercial use and commercial use requires a licence from us.
Third-party trademarks
Unity, Unreal Engine, SteamVR, Meta Quest, OpenXR, Vulkan and Linux are trademarks of their respective owners. We name them only to state what OMVION is compatible with. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site, and do not use the enquiry form to send unsolicited marketing, malware or unlawful content. We rate-limit submissions and may ignore or block abuse.
Liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, OMVION excludes all implied warranties and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or lost business arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything published on it. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings to protect our intellectual property wherever infringement occurs.
